Late in the design of the Grand Sport, the Corvette engineering team realized that the existing air management panel assembly would not mate properly with the Grand Sport’s distinctively wider, special louvered front fenders.

Aluminum molds continue to be used primarily for R&D, prototypes and lower volume production. However, today there are several high strength, heat treated wrought aluminum grades available with improved durability that actually make it a preferred choice for certain types of high volume production parts.
In March 2021, AGS Technology installed three more iMFLUX units on its JSW injection molding equipment.
AGS Technology has taken delivery, installed, and is running production on two new JSW injection molding machines.
Most of the time, the clamp tonnage required to keep the mold closed during plastic injection is the key factor that dictates press size. Traditionally processors have attacked clamp tonnage using higher flow materials, increasing wall thickness, shortening length of flow and specifying larger gate sizes. Now there is another bullet in the holster; iMFLUX constant low pressure molding.
Polyethylene is the largest volume thermoplastic used today. Polyethylene is available in a variety of grades that have a wide range of properties and are classified according to density.
