Due to the COVID-19 virus situation, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzger announced today the closure of all non-essential businesses in the state starting at 5:00PM Saturday March 21 to remain closed through April 7, 2020.

AGS Technology is in support of Governor Pritzger’s actions to protect its citizens and assure that our health care resources are not overwhelmed by the COVID-19 virus.

The purpose of this letter is to advise that AGS Technology currently produces parts and assemblies that are essential to support power generation; mining and fracking of oil, gas and coal; production of medical supplies and equipment; repair and maintenance of roads, railways, and airports; automotive repair and maintenance facilities; construction and maintenance of essential buildings, and for the production of food.  These parts and assemblies cannot be manufactured anywhere else in the United States or the world as they are unique and application specific.

AGS Technology Senior Management has carefully considered Governor Pritzger’s directive.  In light of continued open orders from customers deemed essential to keep vital equipment and services running throughout the world AGS Technology plans to continue with its business by:

  • Accepting and processing orders, receiving, manufacturing product, and shipping.
  • Keeping production and quality staffed to meet open orders for parts and assemblies.
  • Maintaining office business hours Monday through Friday between 8:00AM and 5:00PM CST.
  • Continued vigilance with thorough sanitation, hygiene, and proper social distancing practices.
  • Restricting access to our facility to employees only.
  • Support staff not critical to the production of parts and assemblies working remotely from home.

AGS Technology is committed to meet its moral and legal obligations during this challenging time and is doing its part by continuing to supply its customers with essential parts and assemblies in a safe and responsible manner.

The health, safety, and well-being of AGS employees, their families, and customers remains our top priority.  As the impact of COVID-19 on our community and daily lives begins, we want to assure you that we are monitoring developments closely and taking action at our Batavia, IL facility.  We will continue to follow the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as the State of Illinois, to protect our family of customers and employees.  In support of these guidelines we have instituted thorough sanitation, hygiene, and proper social distancing practices.

What this means for our Customers:
AGS is fully operational at our Batavia, IL facility, and we are working with our teams to ensure there is no disruption to your supply chain.  Currently, we do not anticipate a disruption in our production schedule. However, this situation is evolving, and moving forward we will continue to provide updates as necessary on this page.

What this means for our Employees:
Our team will continue to run our production schedules according to our customer requests.  Employee health and safety is paramount and we ask that employees continue the new practices we have implemented and continue to adjust based on the latest available information from the Center for Disease Control and the State of Illinois.

Customer Visits and Meetings at our Batavia, IL Plant:
We are restricting access to our facility to employees only.  Any visit other than employees must be pre-approved by our President, Chris Racelis.  We are disappointed we had to make this decision, but we feel it is in the best interest of our customers and employees.
